Weekend Recap

I just love the fall. I can't quite put my finger around what makes it so different than any other season, but there's just something about the crisp in the air, the pumpkins, the bright-yellow mums, the little cute scarecrows, and the changing of the leaves that just warms my heart.

This weekend, I decided to have some fun with some sweet girls. I had my little sister Anna and my little cousin Grace over Friday night. We had so much fun! We painted pumpkins, made scarecrow cookies, rolled marshmallows in chocolate and dipped them in sprinkles (yum!) and even had a little dance party in between!

I must say that after doing all of that Friday night after a full day of work and school--I was wore slap out! Saturday was a schedule-free day and it was so relaxing. I did put homework off until the last minute, but enjoying my day was so worth it!

Rocky Creek. The name says it all! It says good food, good fellowship, and no diets allowed. I probably ate my weeks worth of calorie limit in hushpuppies and cheese sauce. I'm not kidding. And if that didn't do it, I went and had a blizzard at Dairy Queen afterwards. It's a requirement. You don't go eat at Rocky Creek without following it up with a blizzard. Good times!

Roll Tide! First of all, whoever decides to play football at 8 p.m. on a Saturday night is crazy. It was 11:00 in the 4th quarter! I like the night games, but watching football at midnight is what I consider morning time. However, after the loss last week, I suppose they played somewhat better. I mean, 4 sacks is better than 8. I'm just sayin'.

Sundays are my favorite day of the week. I'm not sure why I love Sunday afternoons, but I do. So, even though I was doing homework all afternoon and studying for the miserable Praxis exam (that I did not pass for the 3rd time), it was still a great day.

Today is Monday. It's a great day. Circle K coffee is divine. The faithfulness of the Father never ends. Dwell on His goodness today. THAT is a blissful moment.

To Blog or Not to Blog

I've decided to attempt the world of blogging. It seems as though I spend most of my day in front of a computer screen, so keeping up with a blog would just add more to be responsible for, right? Work involves a computer, school work always involves my laptop, and for goodness sake-social networks can eat up a whole day if you aren't careful with your time. So why would I add "blogging" to my list of duties? Good question. I've had this blog created for about 3 weeks and haven't posted one single thing. In fact, the blog was blank until about an hour ago. Anyway, I've decided to try to track some "blyss" in my life. Something to share. A smile to extend. A moment of warmth from one life to another. The daily life of Sabrina is not always profound, but it is always--always interesting-to some extent.

As I've been writing this blog, I've been trying to think of a "picture" to share since that seems to be the norm for "bloggers." But folks, my camera hasn't had a battery in it since May. Shame. Shame. Perhaps this blog will encourage me to keep batteries in my camera so I'll have a picture to post. :) After all, I love to capture memories. Especially the "blyssful" ones.

I'll leave you with a "blyssful" thought: Coffee is great. The Word is powerful. Both combined make for a great day. Go. Get. You. Some.
