Happy Wednesday! I'm posting from my phone so I can't upload the cute confession picture. :( So, I'm just going to jump right in to confessing:
1. I did a complete post of confessions back in the beginning of May. I just checked my blogger feed & realized that it never uploaded. Fail.
2. In light of that never-posted blog, I feel the need to state that I've graduated college since my last post! Yay! I'm also already thinking about starting grad school very soon!
3. I need a summer job. This sitting at home thing would be nice if I had an income. I'm assuming I'll enjoy it more when I actually become a teacher and have a summer break with pay.
4. I'm confessing that I'm doing really well at the gym. I go at least 3 times a week. This is a plus since I've been so non-committed, ha!!!
5. Searching for a teaching job is really hard. It's like a race where there is no designated course. Where do I go? What do I say? What is the best time to go? Do I call first? It's really different entering the professional world.
6. I'm home pretty much all day, but I have no desire to clean. I do just enough each day so my house doesn't look like a disaster, but not enough that I need to.
7. I want to live at the beach. Simply put.
Ok, that's all! Head on over to www.emyselfandi.com and share your confessions!!

What's Been Going On
I thought it would be a good time to update my blog since I have been
M.I.A since February. The best way to do this is through pictures...a
good way to document memories. :) Warning: There is a LOT of pics...
My great-grandmother (Ma-Maw) loves to socialize! We like to go out to dinner every now and then. Her favorite place is Fire Mountain because they have fried chicken and catfish. I cherish the time we spend together. Here is a picture of a night that I took her to my aunts for a fish fry. It was LATE and it had been a long day...but I wanted to have a picture of our time together. She always makes me laugh :)
The first weekend of March, we threw my sister a baby shower. She actually just had her baby last weekend (which I will update with pics soon).
That same night, we had a girl's night with my dearest friends for Jessica's (below) birthday! Here is a picture of Danielle and myself at Bonefish. The Bang Bang Shrimp is delish. You should try it if you haven't. It was my first time to eat there and it was yummy!
And here is the birthday girl. I love these girls so much. I love how we always celebrate with Flour Girls cupcakes. They are like heaven in your mouth. I love how we always laugh until we can't breathe. I love how our time together is always uplifting. They are a blessing to me!
I also watched my little brother (and sister, who I did not get a picture of) play ball. I am so proud of Jeremiah! He has grown into such a cute young boy. And his baseball skills aren't too shabby either. He plans on trying out for the Middle School Baseball team and I will be ecstatic if he makes it. He can throw a ball like nobody's business! :)
And here is the running champ and the used-to-be-runner spectator. Every year in Mobile, we have a race called the Azalea Trail Run. It's one of the biggest 10k's in the United States. Carrie loves to run and she is excellent at everything (I swear she's a genius or something!). Anyway, I was supposed to get their early and hold her stuff for her and bring it to the finish line. However, I got there like 2 minutes late, so she ended up running 6 miles with a cell phone and her car keys. I felt so bad...but it didn't slow her down, ha! I guess that's what you call memories!
Okay, so we are still in March. Here is my sweet friend Jessica at her baby shower for Baby Graham. I promise, if you ever need a party planned, her and her momma are the people to hire. They can put together a spread for sure. Obviously, we kept Jess out of the planning of this shower, but her momma had it all under control. I didn't get any pics of the actual shower, which I definitely should have! :(
Moving on to April....first trip to the beach for 2012. This was such a relaxing day. I was in the smack dab middle of student teaching and I was under so much stress....it was good to get away for a day...This is Kim & myself. We had lots of fun! We ate at R&R Seafood on our way home. One word---GOOD. They had these corn nuggets that will make you slap your knee they were so good--and blackened shrimp!! Yummy!
Easter!!! This is Tiffany & myself after church on Easter Sunday. I ate myself sick on good country cookin! Ha!
Whitney & myself on Easter...
One of the good perks of being a teacher is that you get a Spring Break. I was able to go and see Grace get awarded her BLUE belt at Taekwondo. Never would have thought she would love it as much as she does, but I'm so proud of her!
And guess what came in the mail over Spring Break??? Graduation Invitations!
The second half of Spring Break, I took a mini-vacation to Orange Beach. It was fantastic!!!! Our condo had a lazy river in it & I was in heaven. I read a book and floated ALL day long. Literally.
Here is Olivia and me and a youth cookout/birthday party. This was like the 12th attempt at taking this picture. I learned on this day that when it is 98 outside and you go to the beach, apply sunblock BEFORE you get there. I had been in the sun all day and I was a little burnt. OUCH.
And THEN, at the beginning of May, I finished my semester of student teaching at Satsuma. One of the best learning experiences, as well as one of the most stressful. I'm so thankful for my time there, and for all that my cooperating teacher taught me! Can't wait to have a classroom of my own!
Jess & I went for a little girls day before she had Graham. It was one of the best days!!!
Can you guess what we are going??? Our feet were SO soft when we left there...they took our pedicures VERY serious.
Here is Baby Graham!!!!!!!!!! How sweet! I was so glad I could be at the hospital for this special day!
The very next day, my sweet friend Kirstie took some graduation pics for me. We took them all around the campus of the university. I thought they turned out really well, and we had a lot of fun!!
Can you see the excitement??
I think this speaks for itself....but I will say--College Graduations are not as personal as high school ones are...memorable, but not as personal!! ha!!
My mom came in from Illinois and had a condo at the beach the week after my graduation. So guess where I was...right here on this white sand...soaking it all up!
This is me and my little sister Emily...on the way home from the beach one day. I love that I can get to the beach in a little over an hour!!
So that's just a small update of what I've been up to...I need to post some more pics of the past few weeks....coming soon!

Midweek Confessions
Here we go!!!
--I am off of school all week due to Mardi Gras break. I have a list of things that I wanted to get accomplished. So far, relaxing is #1 on the list. It's been nice.
--I recently purchased a new iPhone (I finally upgraded from the ancient 3G). Anyway, Siri has become a great friend of mine. I love when she says "I am only here to serve you!" Ha!!! I like to ask her all kinds of crazy questions.
--I had a dentist appointment at 8 this morning. Who does that on their week off? Glad I got my teeth cleaned. I love the feeling of clean teeth. Weird, I know.
--I have done some Spring cleaning this week. It has felt so good to get some of this stuff out of my house. I do not know where it all came from, but by the looks of the amount of garbage bags that I have to give to Goodwill and/or trash, one could possibly conclude that I was a hoarder. Good grief.
--I did one of the "Insanity" workouts two days ago. Y'all, have you ever tried those. My legs hurt so bad. It's the hardest thing I've ever done!
--I started thinking about what kind of suit I want to buy for my interview with the Human Resources dept. I was shopping around Ann Taylor yesterday and I came to the conclusion that this diet needs to get in high gear. I mean seriously, have you tried on a suit when you don't necessarily feel the best about your appearance? It's almost comparable to swim suit season to me....Those jackets just are not flattering on me for some reason. Ugh...I did however, discover that there are dress suits. You know, they have the matching pants, skirt, and dress, with the jacket. If I had to choose one of those, it would probably be the dress with the matching jacket. Ann Taylor had some really pretty ones...I think I might try those. This is totally random and probably something that nobody in the blogosphere even remotely cares about---but whatever, ha!
--Speaking of interviews, I'm so nervous about all of this. I mean the school system came out and talked to us and you would think I'm trying to get a job at the White House. I'm so overwhelmed.
--I know I talk about school stuff way to much. It's just wayyy too big of a part of my life right now.
--I confess that I'm ready to graduate. The end.

Midweek Confessions!
Here we goooo...at least I'm on time this week!!!
1. I'm posting from my phone. I discovered a Blogger app and I'm hoping that I will find more time to blog now!
2. I actually wish I was posting this from my computer but my Internet is giving me fits. I am just over it.
3. I woke up at 3:30 this morning thinking I had overslept my 5:30 alarm clock. I actually got up to realize I still had 2 hours of sleep. I was wondering why I still felt tired! For the record, I had no problem going back to sleep!
4. This week is dragging by! I keep thinking it's Thursday---which it clearly is not.
5. The Biggest Loser is full of drama this season. Gee Golly!
6. I didn't work out at all last week. I'm starting to think I just need to send in my video for the biggest loser. Ok, I'm kidding-but I sound pathetic with all my attempts to exercise. Ugh.
7. Did anyone watch the Bachelor Monday night? If so, please tell me the awkward moment with Jamie made you laugh so hard! I was so embarrassed FOR her!!! Who does that?!?!?

Midweek Confessions
**I wrote this post on Tuesday night so I could get it posted yesterday. It is now Thursday. I'm late. Thank goodness there are no tardies on Blogger!**
Well, I have LOTS to confess this week. Let's not waste any time....
--I started Student Teaching and the first week wiped me out. As in, I came home every day and didn't get off of the couch until bed time. Which was at 8:30p.m. I finally feel like I am getting on somewhat of a schedule.
--I am typing this out on Tuesday night because Wednesday is gone before I realize I did not post. I am horrible about keeping my blog up anyway, and I'm trying to get productive with at least one post a week--but the past 3 weeks have not been consistent!
--Trying to prepare an activity for a class that you have not taught is intimidating. Teacher teaches, student teacher steps in and does activity (gradual release of responsibility). I hope that I do not bomb this one. My teacher has the world's greatest classroom management skills and I watch her like a hawk because I want to soak it all in.
--I confessed a few weeks ago that I wanted to start running. Well, I went twice. Haven't been since. I thought I would have all this time since school lets out at 2:45. Yeah, right. I have a goal to get there at least 3 times this week. It's already Tuesday and I haven't been. I'll confess my results next week. :)
--I went to Atlanta this past weekend for a broadway show that was gifted me for Christmas. We went and saw Hairspray. One word- awesome. I could definitely go back and see it again.
--I've been doing SO much better about cooking and eating at home. I'm single and I have no kids so eating out is so much easier for me. But it gets old quick. I like to cook and I'm trying to make time for it.
--I'm becoming such a hermit. I love to stay home and relax and sometimes when I am out and about--I try and hurry to get my errands run so I can come home and chill. Gah, I sound so lazy!
--OK, that's enough for now! Go link up at E, Myself, and I and share YOUR confessions!

Marathon Madness
This morning, Carrie (my awesome room mate) ran a 1/2 marathon! I think runners who can run that far (13.1 miles) as well as the FULL marathon (26.2 miles) are super achievers! That is a LONG way to endure!!
Anyway, the race started at 7:30, so I went and picked up Melissa (we were the spectators) and we headed down town. There were over 2,000 people there. They all lined up at the start-line and were ready for the gun to fire! I could imagine that a lot of them were very nervous-I would be! I mean this is kind of a big deal!
Here they all are lined up at the start line! The girls in the southern belle dresses are our Azalea Trail Maids. They represent Mobile at various different functions locally and nationally.
After the gun went off and they all took off, we headed back to my car to go to the 7 mile marker. Right after we got there, a few runners started passing by. They were the ones who probably won the race, because it was only like 30 minutes into the race and they had already ran 7 miles. You can do the math, but I'll tell you it's fast. ha!!
Pretty soon Carrie came running by & we cheered her on--and then we loaded back up in the car and headed to the finish line! She made her it under her goal time with a minute or so to spare! I was so proud of her! I know she has worked hard with training and on days like this, you only have one shot-and you are your only competitor!
This is after the race. It was humid, rainy, and not that cold. This picture definitely proves to me that I need to run the next half marathon--ugh!!!
We hung around and talked with some people and then we went to Cracker Barrel for some yummy breakfast! It was a great morning!
This just made my "want-to run" even stronger! I'm DETERMINED to start back this week....ugh--I'm dreading it and looking forward to it at the same time!
Midweek Confessions
It's that time again!!! Here we go:
--Today is my last day at work. It hasn't completely sunk in yet that I am quitting my job to student teach so I will graduate. I'm sure it will sink it real deep in a month when I am no longer drawing a paycheck. :)
--ROLL TIDE. I confess that I get way to excited about football games and I get real excited when people tell me that football is nothing to get excited about! Monday night was a night FULL of energy!
--I set a goal to start waking up early to help me get on a routine for teaching. Right now I do not have to be at work until 9-making my wake-up time 7:30. I've been wanting to at least be up by 6 to help the transition next week be a little smoother. Hasn't happened one day. Starting next week--that alarm will be going off at 5 with no opportunity to hit snooze. I will have to leave my house at 6:15. I'm probably going to be dead tired by 7 that night.
--I'm famous for moving decorations in my house from one place to the other. I randomly just pick something up and move it to another place in the house. I like to change the look of things quite often.
--Speaking of decorating, I just got a console table for my breakfast nook area. I've been wanting one for so long and I envisioned exactly how I wanted it decorated. Now that I have one, I have no idea what to put on it. Typical. Ha!
That's all for this week! Head over to E, Myself, and I to check out some more weekly confessions!
Thanks for reading!
